On Saturday, we organized the event "Among Friends" as part of the Corporate Mentoring program for 20 of our boys and girls. Our good friends — volunteers and mentors — joined us, and together we shared and talked about what inspires each of us and helps maintain balance in life.

The perfect place to discuss such important topics was the Arts Department of the City Specialized Youth Library. We sincerely thank them for their hospitality and wonderful atmosphere. As the children themselves said: «This is our safe place, our library».

Everyone shared practices and resources that help them recover and recharge, while the youth and adults worked in teams to create their own resource maps, played games, and over tea and treats connected and inspired each other with positivity and sincere emotions.

And our dear friends, Stasya, Serhii, and Olya, prepared gifts for the children that are so necessary to stay safe during power outages — pocket flashlights and reflective bands that can be worn on a jacket sleeve or backpack. They also brought something to keep our children warm — cozy socks and inspiring postcards!

Svoipeople also joined the meeting, and the children presented them with a token of appreciation. We all warmly remembered the Days of Kindness and the conversations among friends that unite and inspire! Thank you, Yurii Dmitriiev, for organizing the Days of Kindness and for your support.

These warm and friendly gatherings really help both teenagers and adults recharge and fill up with positive emotions. Our participants were happy to share their impressions of the event.

«I would like to thank everyone for such a wonderful meeting and for the great time spent together. Everything was so good that I’ll be looking forward to the next meetings. I want to say thank you to the organizers of the event» – Dasha

«My friend and I want to thank you for such an awesome meeting! We enjoyed today so much! We’re overwhelmed with emotions right now! We made new friends, and they’re so cool! It was interesting to listen to everyone talk about their hobbies! Your atmosphere is incredibly uplifting. Whenever we’re with you, we forget about our inner problems, pain, and emotional exhaustion! We love such warm and interesting events! We love talking, taking photos, spending time together, and having fun in different ways! We’re so happy to be with you! And since today is Hug Day, I’m giving everyone another big hug! (Also, we’re very tactile people, and it truly touches our hearts when we meet in person and can talk warmly and happily + take lots of photos and most importantly — hug each other!)» – Nika

«Thank you all so much for a wonderful day».- Rostik

«A huge thank you to you as well! I think everyone today got so much joy from spending time together! You’re amazing for sparing no effort or resources for events like these! I’m eagerly waiting for the next meeting» – Marina, future mentor

«Thank you so much for today’s event! The atmosphere was pleasant, the group work was comfortable, and the topic of resources was interesting and relevant. After the group work, it was great to talk — I noticed that teenagers who hadn’t known each other before got acquainted and communicated quite actively. Thank you so much for the organization, and special thanks to the library for providing the venue for the event!» – Oksana, future mentor

«Thank you to the organizers for welcoming us into your company! My girl is very happy — this new communication experience was like a breath of fresh air for her! Everything was very atmospheric and easygoing. We were left with a pleasant feeling, like after meeting with old friends» – Tanya, mentor

«We talked, got to know each other, played, laughed, drew, and most importantly — we simply were. We were ourselves and we were together. Because it doesn’t matter what exactly you do, the only thing that matters is doing it with love. The more we interact with the children, the stronger our connection becomes, and the more sincerely and quickly they open up, sharing their joys, achievements, dreams, worries, and concerns. While communicating with them, I realized how important support and approval are — the feeling that I am needed (accepted) just as I am. And yesterday was Hug Day, so we hugged to our hearts» content! We are very grateful to the organizers of this wonderful event, as well as to the volunteers, mentors, partners, and everyone who joined in. You are doing incredibly important work! And we admire and are inspired by the care and love with which you do this, despite these difficult times. You are incredible, truly!» – Lena, volunteer.

#CorporateMentoring, CorporateMentoring, #MentoringAssociation, #MentoringAssociation, #Mentoring, #Mentoring

[85

post-5774","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-novyny
["GET
