The event brought together more than 70 volunteers and organizations who are motivated and already doing a great deal to ensure that children in Ukraine do not end up in institutional care facilities, but instead live in families or have mentors who help them become independent and successful members of society. Unfortunately, the issue of orphanhood remains acute and relevant and requires more active joint action and the unification of efforts and resources.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mentorinua.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/5667ac_33c2d7cde080491f85f3fa73839c5b3d_mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/figure>\n<p>The conference brought together volunteers and organizations from 12 regions of our country who strive to have effective tools for providing quality assistance to vulnerable children and a professional approach in this field. Over the course of two days, the Mentorship Association shared its many years of experience and tools for addressing these issues. Our speakers <em>Pavlo and Olena Shulha, Tetiana Koval<\/em> spoke about the statistics and the real situation of children in institutional facilities in Ukraine, about how important it is to establish and build communication with the public sector and do so professionally, reviewed mechanisms for creating family-based care arrangements for children, and shared effective tools for both preventive measures and resolving and changing the situation.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mentorinua.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/5667ac_53f3feb8e8d94d2d9e7b502a6e8fa3b0_mv2.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/figure>\n<p>A valuable contribution came from speeches by former orphanage residents who are now leaders of the \u00abSupermentors\u00bb club and part of the Mentorship Association team. <em>Volodymyr Dorodko<\/em> and <em>Volodymyr Buliubash<\/em> shared their life stories and the changes that have taken place in their lives since participating in the Corporate Mentorship program <em>\u00abPath to Success\u00bb Kidsave<\/em>\u00ae.
