Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn\u2019t difficulty, but the familiar \u00ablater.\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abFirst, coffee\u2026\u00bb<\/p>\n
That\u2019s exactly what our event \u00abThe Step That Changes the Outcome\u00bb was about, held as part of the \u00abBoost Your Future\u00bb project with Grundfos.<\/p>\n
At the meeting, young people together with mentors took an honest look at their excuses. Not to judge them, but to understand what\u2019s behind them. Fear? Insecurity? Exhaustion? Or simply the habit of putting things off. Everyone found their own answers. And most importantly \u2014 their own steps.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
There were many real-life stories. Some people voiced their \u00abexcuses\u00bb out loud for the first time. Others noticed for the first time how often they rely on them. We created our own heroes. One team chose Harry Potter \u2014 a teenager who could have ignored his letter, but whose decision to open it changed everything. Another team created \u00abChebusan\u00bb \u2014 a student who came to help Ukraine\u2019s energy sector despite fears and a completely new environment. A third team created a teenager who plays games, is interested in IT, searches for himself, and gradually learns to make choices.<\/p>\n
\u00abI liked that we split into teams again. It was interesting how we worked through the issue of excuses. There were things like \u00abI\u2019ll have some coffee,\u00bb and we had to justify our decisions \u2014 it really gave us something to think about. I also really enjoyed drawing a hero as a team and coming up with their journey story\u00bb \u2014 <\/em>Danya.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We built their journey: decisions, doubts, obstacles, experience. And we searched for that moment that changes everything. And do you know what was said most often? \u00abIt\u2019s important not to miss your moment.\u00bb Because every \u00abto do or not to do\u00bb is not just a choice. It\u2019s an experience that shapes the path.<\/p>\n
We often see other people\u2019s opportunities. And we fail to notice our own \u00abletter.\u00bb But everyone has one. And it\u2019s exactly through warm, honest interaction with mentors that this letter becomes visible. When there\u2019s someone beside you who doesn\u2019t give ready-made answers, but helps you see your own.<\/p>\n
\u00abThis was a very interesting and important topic for me personally. As always, I really enjoyed talking with the mentor. Thank you for the sincere atmosphere and meaningful time together. I took away a lot of new things for myself!\u00bb \u2014<\/em> Alyona.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
This is felt especially strongly during one-on-one meetings. That\u2019s where real dialogue appears \u2014 about fears, doubts, choices, and the first real steps. It\u2019s in these conversations that decisions about educational and professional courses, directions, and self-belief are born. That\u2019s when the next step appears. And along with it \u2014 movement.<\/p>\n
\u00abI liked the event and the sincere circle of communication with friends. Thank you for the treats and delicious coffee. We worked in teams on excuses and creating a path, and I came up with the hero\u2019s name and helped the team. It was very interesting\u00bb \u2014 <\/em>Tymur.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
We thank the Grundfos mentors for their sincere presence, support, and willingness to be there during important moments. And we thank the young people \u2014 for their openness, courage to look honestly at themselves, and willingness to take their first steps. Because that\u2019s exactly how changing the outcome begins.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
