Father’s Day event organized by SSD KMDA

Mentorship — there when it’s needed most

This weekend, the Mentorship Association had the honor of joining a wonderful Father’s Day event organized by the Kyiv City State Administration’s Children and Family Services together with the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

Our specialists, together with young people who completed the program «Path to Success», and later became mentors and role models themselves, spoke about the importance of mentorship as a genuine, compassionate source of support for children and teenagers who have been left without parental care or found themselves in difficult life circumstances.

A mentor is an adult who has the time, heart, and desire to be there. Someone who listens, guides, and encourages. It is through stable, trusting relationships that a child begins to believe in themselves, see the world from a different perspective, and make plans for the future. Where there is no family, mentorship gives the feeling of "I am not alone.".

We are convinced: everyone can help. And we are sincerely grateful to the Kyiv City State Administration’s Children and Family Services for many years of cooperation, openness to new solutions, and the opportunity to take part in such important social initiatives.

Together, we are changing children’s lives — step by step, offering a reliable shoulder to lean on.
