Christmas Miracles

Dear friends! We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined our «Christmas Miracles» event held on December 19. This year once again proved that we are surrounded by extraordinary people: our reliable partners Hyatt Regency Kyiv, METRO, Dovzhenko National Film Studio, «Obraz» theater school, KFC, Winner Group, Boeing, Kyiv City Center of Social Services, Center for Social Support for Children and Families of the Dniprovskyi District of Kyiv, Children and Family Services of the Dniprovskyi District State Administration of Kyiv, volunteer friends of the «Vid Shchyroho Sertsya» Charity Foundation, «Vysota» church, photographers Yuriy Taran, Oleksandra Voitsekhovska and Iren Bgan, and of course our dear mentors and guests. It is thanks to your kind hearts, support, and dependable shoulders that our youth spread their wings and confidently conquer new horizons!

The boys and girls participating in the Corporate Mentoring program acted as the direct organizers of the event. Each chose a role for themselves – hosts, DJs, directors, scriptwriters… They welcomed guests, performed, and shared their success stories, the impact of the war on their lives, and demonstrated their talents. They created the script and quiz questions themselves and presented awards to specialists from companies and organizations who became true friends and motivators. We are proud that our youth independently created the Anthem of the Mentoring Association!

«Just read the chorus of the anthem they recently wrote themselves: "We are the leaders of the World. Leaders of the Earth. We have the strength to grow in this world! We have the will! We have destiny to walk hand in hand with you!" All evening we were inspired by the care with which the children support one another. By the respect, love, and gratitude they show toward their mentors. By how boldly they declare their dreams: to become the director of a major charitable organization; even the president of our incomparable Ukraine!; to create an animated series; to learn Italian; to help the younger children at the center; to continue the great mission of their mentors – their "Moms" and "Dads"!» – Olena, volunteer.

There was not a single person in the hall who was not deeply moved by the stories of our boys and girls about the transformations they experienced in the Corporate Mentoring program, as well as where the war found each of them and how it changed their lives. They also spoke about their trip to Vinnytsia and meeting the Kidsave Angels of Hope, who save lives every day.

Our teenagers also prepared promo videos featuring the brightest moments and interesting events that made this year so rich. They shared with the event guests their impressions of the «Days of Kindness» held with the support of Yuriy Dmitriev and Svoyi People, career exploration activities, participation in the «Girls Club,» and professional courses from VeAn Tattoo, clothing design, and public speaking. They also organized an exciting quiz, and the winners received surprises.

During the intermission, over aromatic coffee, tea, and treats, children, mentors, partners, and guests had the opportunity to get to know each other even better and share their emotions in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

In the second part of Christmas Miracles, the boys and girls masterfully performed songs that gave everyone goosebumps and earned thunderous applause, once again demonstrating how talented and multifaceted our youth are!

Everyone radiated such kindness and sincerity that it inspired my husband and me to become mentors for several children! At the end of the event, everyone present was invited to join a theater arts workshop where, divided into teams, they tried on new and interesting roles, interacted with one another, and opened up even more because they felt incredible support from those around them. And then the children received wonderful gifts from our good friends, because what would St. Nicholas Day be without presents!

«Rizdvyani Chudesa» truly became a day full of miracles for both children and adults. Sometimes all it takes to make dreams come true is a small step, a wise older friend nearby, and belief in yourself.
