Participation in a workshop seminar on management and development in the field of children’s rights protection

The Mentoring Association had the honor of participating in a workshop seminar on management and strategic development in the field of child rights protection with the participation of Petro Dobromilskyi — Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Children, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine for European Integration Iryna Postolovska, Head of the Coordination Center for the Development of Family-Based Care and Childcare Iryna Tuliakova, Head of the Child Protection Section of the UNICEF Ukraine Representative Office Jean Choi, as well as heads of regional child services from across the country and NGO representatives.

We shared our experience in organizing effective cooperation on key child protection issues during wartime. The Association actively cooperates with government institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations to develop and implement mentoring programs, providing informational and consulting support, guidance, and the development of materials aimed at supporting and protecting the rights of children and youth, especially orphans and children deprived of parental care. We shared our achievements in implementing the program of individual mentoring, the corporate mentoring program «Path to Success,» and the «Weekend Wonders» program». We also spoke about our innovative development — the app for psychological stabilization and support for teenagers and young people IStrong.

Once again, we want to emphasize that Mentoring is not only about individual volunteers. It is about changing the model of working with a child: from institutional care to a human connection that gives meaning and direction.
