How can you engage young people and introduce them to the specifics of the agricultural sector? The team at BASF T.O.V. LLC definitely knows the answer! As part of our project «AgroMentor: Side by Side Toward Knowledge,» corporate mentors organized an exciting interactive event for young people called «Field Expedition.» Our teenagers, participants in the Corporate Mentorship program, took part in an incredibly engaging themed quest called «Golden Grain.» Specialists each presented their area of work and sincerely and openly answered all the questions our youth enthusiastically asked them.
The first part of the quest began at the seed center, where participants moved through different stations, completing interesting tasks and collecting knowledge tokens. We solved riddles, took quizzes, figured out where rye, barley, and wheat grow, played truth or myth, and assembled a treasure map, receiving grains with characteristics where specialists highlighted passion, precision, balance, wisdom, strength, and mastery, emphasizing the importance of these qualities both professionally and in every person’s life. Our corporate mentors also sincerely shared how this knowledge helps them in their own lives.

Then things became even more interesting as we moved to the field, where teams created various installations related to innovations in the agricultural sector, next-generation agricultural advertising, and a secret grain selection commission using available materials. Everyone, both adults and young people, was actively involved in creative teamwork accompanied by loud laughter.
Our young participants also gave interviews and shared their impressions of the event and their participation in the project. This is an extremely valuable experience for teenagers, helping them feel heard, boosting their self-confidence, overcoming fears, and developing communication skills.
