The Mentorship Association, in partnership with the Kyiv City Center of Social Services, conducted training for candidates to become individual mentors.
For four consecutive weeks, every Monday, deep and meaningful training sessions for future mentors took place in the city of Kyiv. Our trainers led sessions that were not just about knowledge — they created a space for trust, reflection, and understanding the importance of an adult presence in the life of a child growing up in an institutional environment.

It was a time when adults had the opportunity to:
- rethink and reassess their motivation;
- learn more about the specifics of interacting with teenagers;
- learn how to build lasting, safe, and supportive relationships.
Each training day was different — in both content and discussions. The atmosphere was vibrant: we learned a lot, shared our own stories, laughed, found inspiration, and most importantly, prepared for the role of a mentor.
We are sincerely happy that mentorship in Ukraine is developing and gaining increasing support. Being a mentor is a journey. It is not always easy, but it is certainly important.
We wish every future mentor strength, patience, and inspiration. And we are here beside you, always ready to support.
