This weekend, something truly special happened. We brought together our incredible youth, children, Supermentor youth leaders, mentors, volunteers, friends, and partners of the Mentorship Association for the open event «Sunny Avenue of Dreams» — an event filled with warmth, inspiration, and light.
Our day began with an imaginary journey through countries around the world. With dream passports in hand, participants «visited» France, Spain, Poland, Britain, and the USA. For each completed task, they received «visas» — symbols of their small victories.
In France, we strutted down the red carpet in the most extravagant outfits. In Spain, we danced tango and competed in a relay race. In the USA, we learned hip-hop and completed training drills. In Poland, we tried ourselves in the role of translators and learned the polka. In Great Britain, we took part in a quiz and drew Big Ben. And in Ukraine, we sang heartfelt Ukrainian songs with our energetic Supermentors, recalled interesting facts about our homeland, hugged, and laughed together.
And then came the long-awaited delicious lunch from our friends: McDonald’s, the team at KFS, and partners from Hilton, to restore our energy in the welcoming space of the KMDSH.
The second part of the event featured workshops for the soul:
- Art therapy by Vlada Kubarieva — a space where young people explored their inner experiences and released stress and tension through creativity.
- Introduction to Japanese culture by Yevhen Dziuba — through creative practices, mindfulness, and aesthetics.
- Floristry by Olena Zdanevych — a magical immersion into the world of beauty, creativity, making choices, and self-expression through flowers.
We thank our partners Nova Spilnota, who support our events and help turn children’s dreams into reality, while reliable, comfortable, and safe transportation for our participants was provided by Viacheslav Savchenko.
A special source of pride is our community of young leaders "Supermentors", who designed and prepared this vibrant quest. They created the сценарій, organized activities, ran the stations, and energized all the participants! We admire their initiative, responsibility, and the way they inspire other teenagers by example. They are no longer just participants — they are creators of change and true guides for others.
But the most valuable part was the emotions. Sincere smiles, heartfelt hugs, wonderful teamwork, and warm individual interactions between children and adults, attentiveness, care for one another, and support. The joy of being together, feeling important, heard, and part of a large community — that is what everyone carried with them.
