We held a warm Christmas gathering that had everything that creates the true strength of a community: sincere conversations, support, laughter, plans for the future, and a special focus on one-on-one interaction between youth and corporate mentors Grundfos.
It is in these personal conversations that something is born that even the best lectures cannot provide. Young people gain a space for calm and honest conversations about their doubts, dreams, fears, and goals. Beside them is a mentor — not someone who judges or pressures, but someone who listens, accepts, supports, and helps them see their path more clearly. For youth from vulnerable groups, the presence of such an adult is incredibly important — it restores faith in themselves and teaches them to trust and open up to the world.
"I really enjoyed it because it was so warm, interesting, and genuinely helpful. During the meeting, I was able to reflect on this year, draw important conclusions, and finally decide what I want to achieve in the new year. It gave me a sense of clarity and motivation to keep moving forward," — Vika.
During individual interactions with mentors, everyone worked with a development map: reflecting on their year, thinking about what they want to try in 2026, which skills to develop, and what kind of support they feel they need. These conversations gave rise to self-reflection, awareness, the ability to talk about oneself, make decisions, and plan — the fundamental skills on which adult life is built.
"I really liked this project, even though I joined it later than the others. I understood and realized a lot for myself, especially that it is important not to give up and to move toward your dream step by step, because then everything will definitely work out. The meeting helped me believe in myself and think about what I truly want, even if clear plans for the new year are still only in my thoughts," — Sonya.
A special moment was the meaningful gifts from the team Grundfos. The young people received certificates that give them the opportunity to choose a workshop, a new skill, an experience, or an inspiring emotion. It is not just a gift — it is the right to make their own choice and take a step toward what truly resonates with them.
The meeting ended with warm wishes, photos, festive conversations, and the feeling that 2026 will become a year of bold decisions, moving forward, and important steps that lay the building blocks of the future.
We sincerely thank the Grundfos mentors for their humanity, attention, and willingness to be there. We also thank our wonderful youth — for their openness, trust, and courage to grow.
