Happy Independence Day!

Today is a special day for all Ukrainians. With joy in our hearts, we celebrate the 31st anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, and with pain in our souls, we remember that exactly 6 months ago war came to our home. They wanted to break us, subjugate us, take away our freedom… But instead, it united and rallied everyone in the fight against the enemy for our land, our centuries-old traditions, our unique culture, for a free life and peaceful skies for our children in an independent European country!

The Mentorship Association, led by President Pavlo Shulha, together with the volunteer team «Angels of Hope» and the co-founders of Kidsave from the very first days of the war directed all their efforts toward helping those whose lives the war came to destroy: orphaned children from boarding institutions, families with children, people with disabilities, and the elderly. The team’s work never stopped for a single day, thanks to which more than 500 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to people suffering from a lack of food and water and living in basements in areas of active combat. Through coordinated efforts, it has already been possible to evacuate 24,762 women, children, and elderly people from cities and villages destroyed by shelling, as well as from temporarily occupied territories.

We are sincerely happy that even during the war we continue to find loving and caring families for orphaned children, wise mentors for our talented youth, and new partners for the development and implementation of joint mentorship projects. The Mentorship Association’s programs help more and more children and teenagers every day adapt to new realities, believe in themselves, realize their talents, make conscious choices, and confidently move toward success.

We believe that only together, through dedicated work, compassion, and the spark in our hearts, will we be able to provide children and youth in Ukraine with a bright and happy future in a free and prosperous country!
