Training for trainers of the individual mentoring program
From October 18 to 23 in Kamianets-Podilskyi, the Mentoring Association for Children and Youth held a six-day training for trainers as part of the program "Training mentors for children living in orphanages and institutions for children deprived of parental care, and other child care institutions on issues of children's social adaptation and preparation for independent living.".
We would like to thank our partners from CF «VAV «Better Future», who generously provided a cozy and spacious office for the training and ensured comfortable accommodation and meals for the participants.
The training was very intensive, and the future trainers refreshed their knowledge and practiced presentation and public speaking skills. It was very valuable for all participants to deepen their knowledge about the socialization of children living in institutions, the role of a mentor and building relationships with a child, as well as the legislative framework for mentoring in Ukraine.
We are delighted that the team of skilled and qualified trainers has grown by another thirteen specialists who will be able to implement the program in different regions of Ukraine in the future, making it possible to provide more mentors for children in institutional care facilities. Together we are strong!
