Training within the "United by Mentorship" initiative"

The specialists of the Mentorship Association spent two intensive days participating in the training initiative "United by Mentorship." The main goal of this event was to gain a deeper understanding of the processes involved in implementing a mentorship program for children living in institutional care facilities.

Representatives of nine regional social service centers, along with more than twenty public and charitable organizations from across Ukraine, took part in the training. Every day, they work to make mentorship an accessible and effective support tool for children in communities and institutions.

We were united by a shared goal — to create an opportunity for every child to have a mentor with whom they can grow, and to have a supportive adult nearby who believes in them.

The Mentoring Association team, together with the teams from the NGOs "3-D" and "Care in Action", had the opportunity to share their own experience: how mentoring is developing in our organizations, the challenges we face, and the solutions that already work. We also presented practical materials and tools that we use daily in our work, from methodological guides and questionnaires to resources we have developed ourselves to support mentors and children. These resources became both a source of inspiration and substantial support for colleagues introducing mentoring in their regions.

We thank the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Upbringing and Child Care, the State Service of Ukraine for Children's Affairs, the NGOs "3-D", "Care in Action", and "DIiMO - Children and Youth Office" for their inspiration, cooperation, and unity.

Together we are stronger. Mentorship truly unites — hearts, experience, knowledge, and efforts for the future of every child.
