A large-scale roundtable discussion, «Implementation of the Mentorship Law: Opportunities and Challenges,» took place in the Ternopil region. The event brought together all key stakeholders: from Members of Parliament and the Ministry of Social Policy to international partners such as UNICEF Ukraine.
Our team from the Mentorship Association for Children and Youth became an active participant in the dialogue. The Association’s President, Pavlo Shulha, presented the results of our team’s work and emphasized our readiness to support the Ternopil region in the next steps. He stressed the importance of a systematic approach: we are not just promoting the idea, but creating effective tools for mentor training and supporting children throughout Ukraine.
«Our task is to ensure that every child living in an institution has a meaningful adult by their side. We are ready to scale our experience and engage even more partners so that mentorship becomes accessible in every community,» noted Pavlo Shulha.
The director of one of the boarding schools in the Ternopil region confirmed that mentorship is already working and delivering results. This is the best proof that implementing change requires only a decision and a willingness to act.
We thank the Ternopil Regional Military Administration for its leadership and openness to cooperation. We thank the Ternopil Regional Center of Social Services for the warm welcome and organization of the event. We continue to work actively so that the mentorship law functions not only on paper, but in the best interests of every child.
