Sometimes one day can stay in your memory for a lifetime — and that was exactly the kind of day when the youth of the program met Corporate mentorship with the company’s leaders BASF as part of the project «AgroMentor: Side by Side Toward Knowledge».
It was more than just a meeting — it was a genuine dialogue between those who are still searching for their path and those who have already gone through a long journey of professional challenges, achievements, and discoveries. The young participants had a unique opportunity to speak with the management of BASF Ukraine and BASF Europe, ask questions, hear personal stories, and connect with the real human stories of success behind a major international company.
The young participants actively asked the management questions about choosing a profession, taking the first career steps, and advice they would give to their younger selves. It was important for them to hear real stories from people who have already achieved great success, walked their own path, and realized that success is always a combination of self-belief, hard work, and the support of mentors.

🔹 «When I was your age, I trained a lot and played sports. That’s exactly what helped me develop self-discipline — a quality that is extremely important in life,» — shared Cesari Urban, Director of the BASF Agricultural Solutions department in Ukraine.
«I really loved the interaction with the company’s leadership. At first, it was scary to ask questions, but their sincerity and simplicity in communication helped me open up. The main thing I realized for myself is not to be afraid to move toward your dream and take action, even when it’s scary. It’s better to try and take a step forward than to do nothing at all» — Sasha.
«I was truly inspired by the video we watched and by the way the leaders shared their own stories. Their answers were deep and motivating. The main advice I took away for myself is to never give up and to keep developing, even when things seem difficult» — Danya.
During lunch and informal conversations, the youth, management, and BASF mentors shared impressions, laughed, and recalled moments of working together on the project. There was a feeling of unity, warmth, and belief in a shared mission. The company prepared pleasant gifts and educational certificates for the participants — a symbol that growth never stops.
«I was deeply impressed by the live conversation with the company founders — their openness, sincerity, and willingness to answer any questions. It was interesting to hear real stories about the road to success and the challenges they faced. And the pizza 🍕 was a nice bonus! I took away an important piece of advice for myself — to develop self-discipline, because it is exactly what leads to results» — Tymur.
